Boutros Boutros-Ghali (بطرس بطرس غالى; born November 14 1922, Cairo, Egypt) is an Egyptian academic, politician, and diplomat. He was Egypt's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs from 1977 until early 1991, the Secretary-General of the United Nation from January 1992 to December 1996, and the first Secretary-General of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie from November 1997 to December 2002.
